I am a student at Washington High School. My life goal is to obtain a bachelor's degree in molecular bioscience which consists of classes such as; biology, chemistry, human genetics and physics. I selected this specialization because taking this course would provide me with the lessons needed to apply to optometry school or the prerequisites. I plan to attend Johnson County Community College (JCCC) and then transfer to the KU Edwards Campus through majoring in 3 programs. During my freshman year of high school, I was chosen for the superintendent honor roll for my school district and also when I did a summer internship at KUMC and presented my summer research, I was given the opportunity to present my summer project again at the Heartland (HBU) Undergraduate Biochemistry Conference. It's always good to realize that even doing simple things to help others can have a huge impact. I enjoy helping people and there's nothing compared to the joy I feel knowing I've helped someone to become happy.
