In this book, he spoke of “liberation through discipline”. In this concept he shared “The movement of self-discipline leads one out of self-slavery into an experience of newness and freedom, and then back again to a liberated use, appreciation and enjoyment of material possessions, in moderation without becoming trapped again by a thousand little threads." Being intertwined with so many other things, one can lose focus on self-disciplines. Now I consider the terms spiritual practices and spiritual disciplines that work together and are not separated from each other. I try to use these two concepts as a reminder regarding my individual prayer
