Even the most prestigious women have lost the battle against anorexia, demonstrating how terrible this problem is worldwide. French model Isabelle Caro, model Luisel Ramos, Brazilian model Ana Carolina Reston, 18-year-old Eliana Ramos and countless other people died shocking the entire world, including the fashion industry. French model Isabelle Caro, 28, has spent the last few years of her life raising awareness about anorexia. In an advertising campaign, Caro posed for photos completely naked. The skeletal images repelled people internationally. This is the first time a controversy has arisen over eating disorders in fashion. Unfortunately, on November 17, 2010, Caro lost his life to this unavoidable disease. After practically starving to death, model Luisel Ramos fainted and died after doing a show in Uruguay. “Ramos' father reported that she subsisted on lettuce and Diet Coke while waiting for the show” (Rodenbough).
