Since the beginning of time, our survival has depended on adapting to change. Whether it was adapting from hot to cold climates or learning to grow and grow your own food. Technology isn't necessarily a computer or an iPod; technology can be a hunting spear or a can opener. It basically simplifies the way we live. In today's society we need technology to achieve our daily goals. Staying current in a rapidly evolving technological world is nearly impossible. Watching how technology has evolved since I was a child left me speechless. Even though I am tech savvy, I feel that in the future I will be just like my grandparents when my mother introduced them to the VCR. For the younger generation the device was simple and intuitive, my grandparents were perplexed, helpless and had to call tech support just to figure out how to turn on the VCR. The 1990s were a time when globalization reached its peak and when science and technology began to grow tremendously. That decade contributed to some of the most significant scientific discoveries and technological inventions in history. Now that I am a technology expert I am able to compare and contrast the technology of 20 years ago to the modern technology of today. The convenience of a cell phone in your pocket today does everything that 10 devices did in the 1990s. Your cell phone is a CD player, a handheld game, a beeper and a television. In such a short period of time, technology has developed rapidly. There are three great inventors who have significance in history who changed the world with their inventions. They have improved our productivity, the way we communicate and the way we share information. In my opinion, one of the greatest inventions of the 1990s was…half of paper…accelerated the development of technology, computer software, and the way we entertain ourselves. The 1990s were definitely a time when science and technology grew tremendously. It was bareback bone and the highlight of the 20th century. I think the three inventions and inventors I mentioned are what shaped the world into what it is today. Whether we wake up to brush our teeth or just wake up we interact with their findings. I think their inventions have contributed to the development of new technologies because they have improved our productivity, the way we communicate and the way we share information. Their discoveries have made it easier for us to access information and access it faster than ever before. Being born in the 90's I'm happy to witness the evolution of these inventions, now that I'm older I can say that these inventions made my childhood amazing.
