Communication theory“Communication includes a large amount of human (and) animal activities, reading, writing, listening, speaking and viewing images, are all acts of communication” (Croft, 2004, p. 1). Templates or structures provide a recognized structure in organizations, structures are made up of teams in a call center environment, where I work, desks are lined up in full computer and phone rolls for effective communication purposes. At the head of the team is the manager, he or she is responsible for carrying the order message. Every team or manager has a prediction or goal in mind with a set deadline. Without key conversations, which take place daily and determine the scope of the organization, the goal could not be achieved. “Be aware that conflict is a natural part of teamwork, those who are engaged work through the conflict to reach a mutual resolution” (Northouse & Northouse, 1985). When conflicts in communication arise, address them immediately by not allowing them to persist, for most teams there is a leader, someone the team can rely on for answers to questions as they come to light. Group meetings, PowerPoint presentations or posters highlight the intended topic; this helps those who are not fluent in English. Models provide insight into conversation and interpretation, highlighting importance within a topic. One of the first models created is that of the Greek philosopher Aristotle, orator, message, listener, expressed in the simplest form. Communication models suggest that with messages there is noise or interference and the message may not be transmitted correctly, whenever possible communication should take place in a calm environment where the recipient can clearly understand or hear the source.
