Human trafficking is basically the trafficking of human beings for the purpose of sexual slavery, forced labor or commercial exploitation. It happens all over the world and is also known as a form of slavery even though slavery is banned in most countries where it is practiced. It also affects children. The worst forms of child labor are estimated to affect 126 million children worldwide (Healey, 2012). I wonder why it affects so many children around the world if it is banned in the countries where it is practiced. The people in power don't pay enough attention to this crime to stop it or at least keep it to a minimum. In places like Australia, and in almost every country in the world, human trafficking is under-reported and affects people of certain ancestry. (Healey, 2012) explained that trafficking involves more than my migration. It begins with the promise of a new job to the new migrants, who however find themselves in debt and working for low pay. What I don't understand is how they can be taken to Australia against their will if they agree to go there...
