I have been playing soccer since I was seven years old and have played at a very high level for the past few years. I represented Southern Ohio twice in a regional showcase, was invited to attend a camp in Manchester, England, and attended the camp twice. Also last season for the Newark High School football team I was named first team all-league and third team all central district. Football was the first sport I really loved playing, I wanted to be the best. I work hours and hours to master any part of the game I wanted to get better at. Football taught me to have a great work ethic and that mentality came when I was cut from the state team the first time I tried out. It was the worst thing that ever happened to me, I was devastated and thought I was no good but I knew I could do better. The next year I worked, I got bigger, stronger, faster, my football IQ was higher; so overall I was a much better player. The result of that work was that I made the team, but not only that, I made the starting lineup. After that I knew I could accomplish anything I put my mind to.
