Some people agree with me that this type of action should be taken because otherwise, that criminal would not receive the punishment he deserves to receive. If the death penalty is not handed down or carried out, others who commit this horrible crime will not fear for their lives when brought to trial. This cannot happen because, if it does, the death penalty can no longer be used as a deterrent to other criminals who don't think killing someone is no big deal.
