Many of these were caused by the limited supply of units upon release. People fought over them inside stores, there were lines waiting outside stores like Wal-Mart and BestBuy, people were shot and stabbed after buying them. I know when I went with my family to get my first game we went as soon as it came out and got the latest one in the store and I couldn't even buy any games at the time because people were acting crazy and we had to put the PS3 in a microwave safe box provided by one of the employees just to get out of the store safely. But it all died down after they produced more and everyone could buy
