One young woman who caught my attention was a girl named Ayesha, aged 18. Ayesha chronicles her life as a young woman to the strong woman she has become today. From the testimony of this young woman, I can say that a woman to a man in that country or any other similar country, is just a piece of meat. They are not treated like the human beings they should be and are not respected. Ayesha shared the story of when she was raped by a boy a few years older than her when she was just 10 years old. She went on to explain that he basically ruined her and any chance of getting married later in life. As for him? He apologized to her indirectly and now lives a happy life with his wife. But that's not the worst thing about what happened to Ayesha. She was kind enough to reveal the horrors that happened when she was a little girl living with her parents. Once her father began drinking, smoking cigarettes, and taking other harmful and mind-altering drugs, he began sexually abusing her. She tried to act like she was sleeping and roll over when he touched her and took advantage of her, but she could hear everything he did. The worst part of this story is that she was so used to the sexual abuse that after a while it didn't bother her anymore. A quote that would disturb any reader was “He didn't even have mercy
