“Too much respect for the law leads people to do many unjust things, as war illustrates: soldiers become only a shadow of their humanity; the government shapes them into machines. The soldiers have no possibility of exercising their moral sense, reduced to an existence comparable to that of a horse or a dog. Yet these men are often called good citizens” (Constitution Society). Henry shed some light on why the cops aren't at fault. They were modeled and given access to their bad behavior. Unjustifiable behavior allowed for a job position will be retained even if the action or final solution is as serious as murder. It is the government that shaped them, with the excuse of entering society and risking their lives. However, that excuse is not reasonable because if one needs to protect themselves by using a weapon due to fear, how can they protect those who also possess fear from those who are supposed to be the protectors?
