There have been numerous debates about whether college students should be given the opportunity to choose their own courses. Like any controversial topic, while others are of the opinion that courses should be chosen for university students, others believe that students should be given complete freedom to choose the courses they would like to study. When students enroll in college, they are forced to study for subjects they don't want. Many students complain that they cannot choose the subjects they are interested in; rather, they are forced to attend compulsory subjects. Additionally, students complain about being forced to spend entire years in college doing things they don't really need to do. This is very wrong because college students should have more freedom to choose their own courses for several reasons. To begin with, students are always interested in studying different subjects and love the courses they choose to study. Furthermore, if students were allowed to study the courses they choose, it would be easy for them to focus and work hard to excel in these subjects. University students should be able to choose their courses because they will study more comfortably. Students will spend a lot of their time studying and researching more about their chosen course to excel. They will understand the course very well because; that's what interests them. Additionally, if college students are given the opportunity to choose the subjects they want to study, they will be more eager to attend classes because they love what's most about it. This means that many college students will excel in their studies. They will put a lot of effort into their studies and get the best results because they feel comfortable with the course. Students need the ability to choose which courses they take and will get better grades as a result, which is satisfying for both them and their teachers. Students know what they are good at, so they should be given an opportunity to do what they are good at. This can only be done by allowing them to choose the courses that they are good at and interested in. Essentially, it is vital that university students are allowed to choose their courses because; only they know what interests them and what they need. Most students pay more attention to the subjects they are interested in and this is why, when they enroll in college, they will want to take a course in the subjects.
