Procrastination is linked on a very deep level to several psychological problems: perfectionism, fear of being judged, and the desire to be in control. Fortunately, procrastinators are rarely horrible procrastinators in all areas of their lives. They may be good at making travel arrangements or paying bills, but miserable at getting a paper written.
