Now that African Americans have had a small taste of freedom, they want more. Yet, they stopped trying to earn it. Some of them think this freedom is enough, while others crave more power. Instead of cheering on the rest of the people, they move forward in life, dragging their feet and expecting someone else to speak first. Reparations are one of their ways to avoid committing themselves further. People like Oprah, Tyler Perry, and even Johnny C. Taylor Jr. went the extra mile. They are trying to incite and excite African Americans, so that African Americans can make a change. However, Black people are sitting on the sidelines, waiting to be given the opportunity. Many African Americans have yet to realize that opportunities are created, not given. They must be earned. For current generations the reparations have not been earned. I think the main reason black people want reparations is greed. Why do they feel entitled to take money that they themselves didn't work for? There are some people, like Ms. Davis, who believe that money should be earned, not simply given a gift, mostly out of pity. And that's what reparations are, too bad
