Although it may sometimes seem wasteful, technology is used by thousands if not billions of people every day. Technology is what drives our country to contend with the crime control factors it offers us. The perennial problem of crime is reducing by the second thanks to “controlling population, income, urbanization, education and other factors that influence local crime rates, communities whose residents join associations civic and engage in regular informal social contact with each other are safer places to live.” (Mazzone) this increases our chances of socializing and humanizing those who are most in need and gives us greater opportunities to help others train more social ties. This creates an environment that would most likely encourage more inhumane use of time and effort rather than creating or being part of something so eternal that it will surpass them once they are gone for centuries.
