They put women and their experiences first, making it the only theoretical paradigm to do so. Feminist theory is significantly different from other theories because it embraces the ideas of members of society who have not had the opportunity to share them in the past. Feminism is also one of the few paradigms to connect sociological theory and political reform, bringing about things like the Equal Pay Act and the Sex Discrimination Act. I chose feminist theory as my favorite paradigm because it is very relatable. I see examples of inequality in everyday life and I call myself a feminist. I constantly share pro-feminism articles and examples of injustices on social media. Learning the scientific background behind the theory was more than interesting. On the other hand, I don't like other perspectives as much because they are not so easy to see in the real world.
