Black face, in itself, mocks black people. It makes us look ridiculous and like clowns. At the end of the film, the actors hate themselves and feel guilty for what they have done to their people because of money. They were "nigger" puppets and raccoons for entertainment, not realizing what the rest of our race looked like. They had lost their dignity and integrity because of money and fame, but they didn't know what they were doing until it was a little too late. Everyone wanted to be a nigger because it was popular, but no one wanted to deal with the history that came with it. Being a black person should not be a goal nor should it be uplifting because it is demeaning, racist and belittling. “People love black culture, but they don't love black people” is an all too familiar phrase, and it's sad that it's one of the most accurate phrases I've ever heard. This phrase basically means that, at the end of the day, to white people we are still considered subhuman, inferior, and inferior.
