Leading the new wave of music in the 1960s was the untouchable Jimi Hendrix, who brought original sounds and performed things unheard of in his time; electric guitars and distortion pedals were his tools of the trade and people went crazy for them. He was born in Seattle, Washington on November 27, 1942, his mother was 17 when she gave birth to Jimmy.
