Taking notes starts in the classroom, so having paper, pens, pencils and highlighters is a must. Absorbing the key terms and ideas becomes easier when they are written down, and having the facts in written form becomes easier to do when you review them at some future time. Furthermore, listening is also important for taking notes. The knowledge I gain is mostly gained by actively listening to what the professor says. I used to go to class thinking, "Ugh, I don't know what to be here, when class is over, so I can go home." I realized that it is not a positive mindset to go into a conference. By making a sensible effort of attention, the notes I took are clearer and clearer than before
