When we go to confession the priest represents our brothers and sisters in Christ and also represents Christ. My feelings towards confession have changed because I now realize that the more I confess, the more my soul will be unburdened. I will start thinking about confession more positively. I will no longer feel ashamed or afraid before going. I know that after confession I will be relieved of the burden of my sins and will be on the right path to redemption. My shame is actually a gift because I hide nothing from myself or from the Lord. My family experienced the Anointing of the Sick first hand. My father had his hip replaced and Father Martin, a former St. Thomas student, came to our house. This was very comforting to my father. We felt the support of the entire church community
