Imagine yourself back in third or fourth grade, reading one of Goose Bumps' many additions. Have you ever found yourself wondering if perhaps something similar to those spooky paranormal stories could ever happen in real life? R.L. Stine's creations will probably always be trapped in the world of fiction, but the paranormal is a pretty broad category. Maybe the monsters under the bed aren't real, but what about ghosts, near-death experiences, precognition, and the mind-body connection? Those paranormal topics are very different. They are a studied question and much more realistic. Every day people claim to have paranormal experiences like these and they are increasingly mentioned in the media. This may lead many people to wonder if the existence of the paranormal is something they should consider believing in. It may seem like a complicated debate, but the answer is quite simple. Due to the abundance of evidence, the paranormal is real; not only is there a probable possibility of its existence, but it is also starting to be proven by science. Evidence makes up a large part of the evidence for the paranormal, as there are very considerable amounts of it. Unfortunately, much evidence is falsified or easily debunked. However, among them, there is still a lot of very real and reliable information. For example, cases of mind-body connection (connections of the mind are more powerful than the body) have been recorded several times in the past. One such case concerns the profound meditations of a monk. The monk went into an advanced form of meditation in a room cooled to about forty degrees. Despite this, the monk was able to maintain...... middle of paper ......begin to better understand all these phenomena, helping to further demonstrate them. Whether this is true or not, science has certainly been a great source of evidence for the paranormal. There is a tremendous amount of evidence in the paranormal that is simply too much to deny; evidence, probability and science confirm its existence. With the paranormal becoming more and more recognised, it is almost obvious that further discoveries will be made in this regard in the future too. More and more people are becoming interested in the issue and investigations into it are becoming more popular. With this, and the media continuing to talk about the paranormal, it can only become a more interesting topic; the amount of evidence will certainly increase. So, next time you hear something happening at night, you might want to think twice. Maybe it's more than just a piece of creaky flooring.
