His use of the word "bulk" portrays his discontent with how big his frizzy hair is. Finally, the use of the word “too big” when describing a black girl speaks to her distaste for being a bigger black girl. These words have a negative connotation and describe an unfavorable view of the characteristics associated with a black girl.
