Same-sex marriage is not acceptableOn June 26, 2015, the United States Supreme Court concluded that marriage is a right protected by the Constitution of the United States in all 50 states. Before their decision, same-sex marriage was legal in 37 states, including Washington DC. Same-sex marriage goes against what the Bible says. I believe homosexuality is unnatural and immoral. Gay marriage is incompatible with the beliefs of many Christians. Marriage is the union of a man and a woman who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together. It is not the union of two women or two men and I do not believe that our society or the American government redefines the true meaning of marriage. I am against same-sex marriage for the following reasons. In my opinion gay marriages are unacceptable because they go against the words of God. The word of God is the truth and no one can change it. Allowing gay marriage also puts churches at risk, because if pastors allow same-sex marriage, they too would be going against the word of God. Homosexuality is a sin and it is unacceptable to force gay marriage on people who do not they believe it. It is also an unnatural act because God created Adam and Eve, not Eve and Eve nor Adam and Steve. Same-sex marriage can be confusing to even the youngest children. Children should have a male father and a female mother in their life. Gay marriage will soon begin to decrease the world's population because gay couples cannot reproduce, which will reduce the growth of human beings and weaken the institution of marriage. For example, if people see that same-sex marriage is acceptable, they will think that any kind of marriage is acceptable and appropriate, which it is not. There will be marriages between humans and... middle of paper... everyone will accept it. Homosexuals believe that no sin is greater than the other and that people against same-sex marriage are sinning for judging them. The Bible says, “Judge not, lest ye be judged.” Only God can judge and has the final say. God loves everyone equally and they think if God can still love them, why can't we? Therefore, homosexuals who want to get married just want the same rights and treatment as heterosexuals. The legalization of gay marriage has caused many problems in today's society. The US Constitution is forcing some people to go against their religious beliefs because of this law. I personally don't think people should go against their religion to support something that God would not be pleased with. We already have enough going on in this horrible world and irrelevant things like this should not be added to society's problems.
