For any business to succeed, effective leadership is needed. It is through good leadership that an organization achieves its goals. An organization that manages its affairs properly is also prone to high returns. An organization should have a good and effective management team so as to accommodate consistent operational changes in the business environment. Management is therefore the key function in all organizations (Elearn 2007). What management and leadership style do you use and describe why you lead this way. Refer to the advantages and disadvantages of various leadership styles and their effectiveness in business. In business management, there are several applicable styles. These styles are applied depending on the organization and management. The most difficult organization to manage is a hotel. A hotel is purely a service providing organization and therefore requires good management skills. The management style applicable in hotel management should aim to improve the good relationship between the hotel and customers (Elearn 2007). The most appropriate leadership style to use in hotel management is transformational leadership. This type of leadership is effective in managing a hotel because the style redefines the mission and vision of individuals. This then allows for the renewal of employee commitment and the restructuring of the system to achieve objectives. This leadership style fosters mutual elevation and simulation, thus allowing employees to act as leaders as well. The employees are also motivated and therefore give their best in everything they do. Style gives employees the opportunity to deal directly with customers and... middle of paper... culture can bring people together when they have the opportunity to communicate and get to know each other better. It opens up new connections, therefore new ideas and greater productivity. Maintaining the corporate culture also gives meaning to the business. When a culture is strong and successful, customers tend to be attracted to the company because it is trustworthy. A strong culture also allows the company to maintain its business (Be a Leader.net 2011). List of references Be at Leader.net, 2011. The importance of organizational culture.
