2.0 THE IMPACT ON POLITICAL ASPECTSFor a long time, through the bilateral foreign relations between Malaysia and Thailand, the relations between them have become closer due to the considerable ethnic conflict between Muslim Pattani and Siam . It happened in three main focus areas, which are located in three southern provinces of Thailand: Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala. This is because the Thai government claimed to Malaysia that Malaysia took care of their interests, causing their opponents to war, and was squarely rejected by both governments in claims to create a new government in southeast Thailand. Bilateral relations between Malaysia and Thailand have existed for a long time. Then, over the past decade, relations between Malaysia and Thailand have been predominantly shaped by the ethnic conflict that has occurred in southern Thailand, spanning the three main provinces, which are Pattani, Narathiwat and Yala. Therefore, in 2004, the conflict was re-emerging and at the time the administration was under Thaksin Shinawatra. The Islamic insurrection was seen through the incident that happened at the Krue Sae mosque in Pattani province, and in the Narathiwat area, the Tak Bai event occurred, in which eight Muslim prisoners were suffocated to death, while they are transported to the military camp. However, the turning point in Malaysia-Thai relations took place in August 2005. It happened as 131 Muslim Pattani peoples fled across the border into the northern Malay states, which are Kedah, Perlis, Langkawi and Pulau. Pinang. According to the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia; Syed Hamid Alba, was claimed to be “a...... means of paper ......d for the subtraction of Islamic culture and religion itself when it was mockingly rejected by the Thai government, as well as for the long dispute between separatists and Thai government. So, the two events that happened were related to the action that happened in 2004, and it is very surprising for the whole world. Another event occurred in October 2004, when Tak Bai town in Narathiwat province witnessed the incident which garnered reviews and publicity from the rioting media party. Six local men were arrested for supplying weapons to the rebels. A demonstration was subsequently organized to demand his release and called in the police as military reinforcement, who had to use tear gas and water cannons on the crowd. This incident sparked widespread protests in southern Thiland, and indeed throughout Thailand.
