Introduction: Subject 1 is a 26-year-old woman with mental and physical problems. Who lives with his sister, mother and father in an apartment. Subject 2 is the mother of subject 1. This subject is 57 years old and still cares for her adult children as if they were children. Subject 3 is a 69-year-old woman who lives with her husband and two dogs. All three subjects are friends of mine who I have known for over 5 years. I spent approximately 3 hours with subjects 1 and 2 and an hour and a half with subject 3. All three subjects were interviewed in person in their homes. Subject 1 (S1) Subject 2 (S2) Subject 3 (S3) Questions: 1: Is it more fun to be an adult or a child? S1: adult, no curfew. S2: Being an adult is difficult when you have children, but she wouldn't change that. Being a kid was fun. But having children is advantageous because you can take them places and be there to achieve important milestones. S3: Adult, you can always have a youthful side, but children can't catch up to adults. Question 2: Where do you see yourself in 10 years? S1: Get married, have a job, live in a big house with 5 children. And 2 dogs and a parrot S2: I hope to continue doing what I'm doing now, taking care of children. And help them face the difficulties of life.S3: how to close a circle with your life. I look forward to the next life and wait for heaven. Question 3: What have been the most important days of your life so far? S1: Lose his grandfather S2: Get married and have his 2 children. Both of these things made his life worth living S3: high school graduation, marriage, having kids, waiting on Jesus as his savior, and seeing me get my driver's license. Interview 1 and 2: Both of these subjects were interviewed together in one group. .... middle of paper ...... eliance. She will consider it as if she had fallen. Subject 3 I put her at stage 8, late adulthood. Where the crisis is integrity or desperation. I put her in the integrity part because every question was a happy memory and no questions arise where she questions herself or her decision. Her decisions are for the good of everyone close to her. Bottom line: I've learned that mental illness can cause major setbacks in the way people think and behave. After talking to subject 2 about his daughter, subject 1. After the interview I learned that the doctors made subject 1 to be in the mind of a 10-12 year old girl. Subject 2 said that because of all of Subject 1's problems, doctors couldn't say for sure how old they thought she was or whether she would ever be able to completely change her mindset. After learning this information, it confirmed my idea of where he was in life.
