In the film Skyfall, James Bond's loyalty to "M" is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. In this adventure, 007 must track down and destroy these threats, no matter how personal the situation becomes. The assignment goes seriously wrong and agents around the world are exposed. Then, MI6 is attacked forcing M to relocate the entire agency. These events cause his authority and position to be questioned by the new chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee, Gareth Mallory. With MI6 compromised from both within and without, M finds himself with only one ally he can trust: James Bond. 007 is set in the modern world in this film and the threats are more realistic and complex than in the older films. Skyfall absolutely packs more entertainment and satisfaction into its running time than any previous Bond film. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone magazine said: “This is Bond as you've never seen him before. In one word: WOW.” It's not just an excellent Bond film, but it's an excellent film, period. He was nominated for eight BAFTA awards, including Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress. It also received five Oscar nominations, including Best Song. This article will explore the business side of the film. Production and distribution will be the main topics discussed. Like all of the other twenty-two Bond films, Skyfall was produced by Eon Productions. Founded in 1961 by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, Eon (Everything Or Nothing) Productions brought Ian Fleming's 007 character to life on movie screens around the world. It is a division of Danjaq LLC, the company responsible for the copyright and trademarks of Bond characters and elements on screen. After Albert left… halfway… like, Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes have already signed on for Bond 24, which is currently in pre-production and will be released in 2015. The film industry side has been very interesting to research. Everyone loves going to a movie, but for that two-hour experience we don't realize how much commercial effort went into the creation of the movie. In the United States and around the world, films have thrived greatly due to this important aspect of the industry. I believe that as time passes and technology advances in the industry, we will see many great films in the years to come. Hollywood has become a machine capable of producing films that take our imaginations places we can never go in reality. Whether at the cinema or at home, the cinematic experience for me is the same. I completely immerse myself in the plot and am able to enjoy it
