The legalization of euthanasia has been a controversial issue for years; Studies have shown that arguments surrounding the euthanasia debate often depend on the process used to take the patient's life. There are countless reflections on the issue of euthanasia and its possible legalization. According to the Encyclopedia of American Law, euthanasia is classified as a class of criminal homicide (Debate.org, para. 3). However, not all murders are considered illegal. In today's society, murder is perceived as excusable if used as a criminal sanction, but unforgivable if carried out for any other reason. In most places, involuntary euthanasia is considered illegal, and involuntary euthanasia is considered criminal homicide. Protesters often claim that laws that contradict euthanasia are government-sanctioned suffering, but this claim would be akin to saying that laws against marketing contaminated food are government-imposed starvation. It is suggested that euthanasia be legalized, but with a strict decree on who can receive it. According to Webster's dictionary, euthanasia is known as the painless killing, by act or omission, of a dependent human being suffering from an incurable and painful disease. disease (Webster). In other words, if death is not proposed, it is not an act of euthanasia. The word euthanasia comes from the Greek term “eu” and “thanatos” which means “good death”. In various countries euthanasia is referred to as assisted suicide. However, assisted suicide is different from euthanasia. Assisted suicide occurs when the patient has complete control of the process that leads to death because he or she is the person who carries out the suicidal act while the other... in the center of the card... the patient asks him or her to do so euthanasia, what would it do? He stated: “If a heat patient asked me to assist him in dying, I wouldn't do it! I don't mind helping them feel comfortable, but assisting them in death, I wouldn't do that. In conclusion, euthanasia is a highly debatable topic with pros and cons. Sure everyone has to die sooner or later, but why do people have to suffer? It is easy for people, society and government to judge one by exposing all the negative problems. However, if people walked a mile in the shoes of suffering victims, feeling what they feel, our thoughts would be different. Human beings tend to criticize each other instead of helping each other. Euthanasia helps suffering people. Everyone deserves a second chance, even if that second chance is the result of death. Sometimes, second chances don't always mean a happy ending.
