What can you do to strengthen and improve the teaching profession in Clayton County? I have a passion for teaching and am completely dedicated to improving the teaching profession in Clayton County. The goal of teaching and learning should be to give students the opportunity to develop as productive citizens, have the capacity to contribute to the economic development of the world, and the ability to thrive in this diverse and changing society. Improving the teaching profession begins with finding creative ways to provide our students with a world-class education. I can strengthen the teaching profession by continuing to support and train new teachers and veteran teachers throughout the year. Teachers leave the profession because they are overwhelmed by the entire teaching and learning process. My job is to guide and support these teachers by providing research-based strategies, providing quality instruction models, and providing them with a workable curriculum that they can follow to ensure academic success. Teachers need one-on-one time to perfect their craft, and providing support will allow them to become that world-class teacher we
