In this essay I have chosen two poems that I will talk about. The first poem is the full moon” which is in the form of a poem. The second poem is “The Horse That Looked at Me,” which is a free verse poem. Both poems strike me as inspiring and entertaining. The purpose of this essay is to contrast the rhyme, stanza, and imagery of both poems. First I will talk about the rhyme of both poems. The Full Moon has fourteen lines and four stanzas. The author of this poem talked about the full moon, the vast universe, the storm and the roaring cloud. in this poem about the full moon, the first stanza rhymes with the second line and the third line rhymes with the fourth. “Stars” rhymes with “Light”. In the second verse, the first line rhymes with the third and the second line rhymes with the fourth. “Dark” is the rhyme for “cloistered place” and “full moon” is the rhyme for “sight.” In the third stanza, the first line rhymes with the second. “Small” rhymes with “earth” because throughout this universe, the earth seems like a small object. In the fourth stanza, the second line is the rhyme of the third line. “Vast” rhymes with “past”. In contrast, the horse that looked at me doesn't follow the rules and doesn't rhyme because it's a free verse poem. However, they have an artistic expression. Secondly, I will talk about the stanza of both poems. The Full Moon has four stanzas. In this poem, the first two stanzas have four lines in each stanza and the other two stanzas have three lines in each stanza. In the first stanza, “After the evening storm I went out,” the author explains that when there was an evening storm, everything… in the middle of the paper… I think the full moon poem is pretty simple . I like this poem title because the poem title seems interesting and encouraging to me. This poem was handled well and was narrated clearly and simply. This poem is understandable. This poem used a beautiful expression towards poetry. I like this poem because it is open and clean to understand. The Horse That Looked at Me is hard and confused poetry. The poet described this poem confusingly. As a reader I am not particularly interested in this poem. In this poem, the poet uses the complete line anywhere in the poem. This poem does not follow any current pattern. When I first read this poem, I didn't notice any changes to this poem. However, upon closer examination, I found that this poem has great impact and interest on a difficult word.
