Parents and children have coexisted for millions of years, not only humans but also animals and dinosaurs. All these times every single child has had a moment where they go off and do whatever they want. For most people this is college and a few rebellious years in our teens. During these times we want to show a sense of freedom and identity within ourselves. Furthermore, during these periods we go from feeble-minded children to slightly aged aware adults. This change can be instantaneous or take many years. When change occurs, the person's attitude is completely altered and changed forever. Even if this change happens, adults still have more years and more knowledge with them. Children should usually listen to adults because adults know more, have experienced more, and have been through what you are going through. Children should most likely listen to their parents because adults have lived longer and have more knowledge than you. This is very well shown in Act 1, scene 3, lines 72 and 73, when Lady Capulet says: "I have been your mother in these years when you are now"....
