Topic > Second Amendment - 764

One of the most controversial topics today is the 2nd Amendment. That being said, I chose to write about the "2nd Amendment: The Right to Bear Arms", the reason I chose to write about this is that I am heavily involved with firearms for many different reasons. I have handled and used firearms since I was a young boy. I have been an outdoor enthusiast for quite some time and have even participated in a few different clay sporting competitions. Having the right to bear arms is very important. Why? Because if you think about it, when this country was founded men needed a way to defend themselves as well as their private property. With everything that has been happening in our country in recent years, millions of people with the right to bear arms are truly on notice. Because sportsmen and collectors fear the government will try to confiscate guns. I believe this is one of the most complex issues facing America. This is an amendment that has taken place since the foundation of the country and which has developed from the English legal tradition. This was written so that all men could own their own firearms and keep the peace. There are millions of people in the United States who are against the 2nd Amendment. The right to bear arms was created by our founding fathers of the United States. Over the years people have purchased millions of different types of firearms, for many different reasons. I want readers to focus on the main points I talked about. Hunting, target shooting and self-defense are the ones that have been chosen. I hear they are the most important for the average person. With everything that is happening... middle of paper... ou' We are in danger and there is no one around to help them, and for the people in the city there is some kind of police available. After reading this op-ed, I want my readers to be more informed about why people carry firearms and why it is important to be part of the 2nd Amendment. it's important to be a part of the 2nd amendment because you can be a part of something special and also have fun shooting and carrying firearms.
