A Midsummer Night's Dream is famous for its powerful comedic romance. Many find the ridiculous love story fascinating and hilarious. One of the main themes of A Midsummer Night's Dream is the occurrence of absurd events caused by love. Shakespeare uses Helen and Lysander to convey the recurring idea of the madness of love. Both of these characters make irrational decisions in order to get closer to their love. Ironically, the ridiculousness of each choice makes the show more relatable to the audience because love makes everyone a little crazy.
