INTRODUCTION This module broadens our understanding of the ways in which buildings are constructed and the purpose of choosing materials and structures for buildings. This module is divided into relief, structure, materials and construction. These are taught specifically through lectures, tutorial exercises, drawings and laboratory testing workshops. The lectures consisted of an explanation of the topics where our knowledge was put into practice by solving and experimenting with questions during tutorials and workshops. By the end of the year, we have gained great knowledge of the contents of this module by taking part in this structured order of learning and understanding in workshops and exercises.CHAPTER 1-ADDRESSWhat is a territorial survey and why is it important at the beginning of a project?A land survey is a detailed inspection and physical extension of boundary lines. It is important at the start of a project that buyers know the precise boundaries of the land; also identifies any easements associated with the property and problems associated with the land. Explain the techniques, equipment and processes involved in carrying out a land survey. This investigation involves the process of leveling which is the calculation between the height differences of two or more points. The equipment used are a tripod, a level and a rod. These are set up by first unrolling the straps of a tripod where the legs are extended until the head height is slightly below the top platform. This must be firmly fixed to the ground to avoid errors; stepping onto the leg platform does this. The legs are modified until they are all about the same height and the leg screws are completed. Using the screw under the tripod you fix the level. ...... half the paper ...... can be made from it. Therefore reducing annual heating costs. CONCLUSION Conclude the report with a short personal reflection statement explaining the relevance of the survey, structures, materials, tests and details in the context of fulfilling a design brief. From this report, it is clear that a number of steps were to be taken to construct or renovate a building. First a problem is defined and to understand this information is collected through a survey. Once the survey has been drawn up, the structures are determined. After calculating the loads, the dimensions of the structural elements are calculated. The materials are tested before using them in real-life structures, thus creating a safer structure. When everything is in place, the structure is built. In conclusion, this report shows that various factors contribute to the context of a design brief.
