Topic > APPLICATION OF HYBRID FACIAL INTERFACE IN 3D...

Chapter one briefly discussed on the ideas of the main course conducted in this study. All the problems, objectives and contribution of this study have been briefly explained in that chapter. Meanwhile, in Chapter 2, all reading reviews of the topic related to this study have been reviewed, explored, and annotated. All illustrated reviews from the various reading sources will be used to support the findings at the end of this study. Meanwhile, in this chapter 3 the research methodology will be explained. Methodology is one of the crucial parts in any research because it helps the reader to get an idea of how the researcher collects and obtains all the information to arrive at the result at the end of the study. It is important that this methodology is sufficiently systematic and detailed because the quality of the overall study depends on it. 3.1 Definition There are two main methods in the methodology; qualitative and quantitative. Quality refers to the what, how, when and where of a thing, its essence and its environment. Qualitative quality concerns the collection of data from interviews, narratives, existing documents or ethnographic observation. They are the most important methods that are widely used. Meanwhile the quantitative concerns the numbering and calculation of the study. The results can be generalized to a larger population and direct comparisons can be made between two corpora, provided that valid sampling and significance techniques have been used (www.sal.tohoku). However, for this study incorporating the definition of a character in 3D animation with hybrid facial interface, it is more relevant to apply the qualitative methods.3.2 Data collection3.2.1 Primary sourceThe primary source refers to the original also...... half of article ......in their article 'Automatic Rigging and Animation of 3D Characters and Edwin Catmull, on the topic 'The problem of computer-aided animation' Roy Disney, Animation from pencils to pixels .Steve Roberts ,Animation of characters in 3D ( 2005).Tina O' Hailey, 'Hybrid animation integrating 2D and 3D'.3.3 Test setup Another method to find the result for this thesis is to experiment with the application of the hybrid facial interface in the modeling itself of the 3D character in a short animation for the final year project entitled 'READ'. This will be a test setting on the main character itself and the entire production process from scratch will be done on my personal computer which will be carried out from home to class to the final process. The whole process will start from modeling the basic shape of the character up to the detailing process where the hybrid application will take place.
