Topic > Analysis of Southern Blacks by John B Boles - 973

I would also recommend this to any history bookworms who seem to be very passionate for the scoop on the real story of past history and feel like they don't know how many information on the topic as they believe they should. This book by Boles is the opposite of what you would expect seeing that the topic would be about slavery. When you open a book about slavery you expect to hear how horrible times they were, how the past was such an iconic time because of the treatment of African Americans. I believe it is important to spread the history of our generation as sometimes we try to ignore the past. What I do know is that this book makes me wonder: is this problem still with us today? And if so, is it still handled as ignorantly as it was in the beginning? Understanding slavery and race in today's generations in the United States is a sensitive and controversial issue
