INTRODUCTIONBackground of Peter DruckerPeter Ferdinand Drucker is the real name of Peter Drucker and was an American of Austrian origin. He was known as a business consultant, educator, and author who contributed to the philosophy and practical foundations of modern business organization. He was born on November 19, 1909 in Vienna, Austria. At the time, his mother was a medical student while his father was a lawyer and a senior official. Her mother is Caroline Bondi and her father is Adolf Drucker. After graduating from Döbling Gymnasium, Drucker moved to Hamburg, Germany, where he apprenticed at an established cotton trading company. That was his first work experience. He later moved to Frankfurt and worked as a journalist at the Daily Frankfurter General-Anzeiger. With the organization, Drucker had written for Der Österreichische Volkswirt (The Austrian Economist). In 1931 he received a doctorate in international law and public law from the University of Frankfurt. Two years later, Drucker worked for an insurance company in London in 1933 before working as chief economist at a private bank. Then he got married to his wife in 1934, which was a year later. After they married, they both remained in the United States, and Drucker served as a college professor, freelance writer, and business consultant. Drucker gained authority to be a United States citizen in 1934. At that time, he was a professor of politics and philosophy at Bennington College until 1949. From 1950 to 1971, Drucker worked as a professor of management for twenty-two years at New York University.
