NTRODUCTIONEducation and training in South Africa began in the nineteenth century by voreë sendsgenootskappe. Several missionary schools were established and the main focus was that these people's Christian faith led to repentance and teaching children to read and write. This Christian education they received was mostly in English and allowed them to live in peace and act together with respect and to generally reflect on a better way of life among these people.
