“How can you wage a war on terrorism when the war itself is terrorism?”― Howard ZinnIntroductionThis essay attempts to start a discussion on the topic of terrorism, trying to highlight the factors that drive and cause it. The structure will be such that so; first a general description of the theory will be given, then a definition will be given. Subsequently in the body the motivations will be discussed, also shedding light on the effects of terrorism and after the long discussion the document will reach a conclusion by outlining the possible majors that can remedy the situation. This phenomenon has a historical background and is a sensitive issue for humanity today as the world fights it with all its might. Most people curse terrorism as a needless evil, but those who support it usually cite that one man's terrorist is one man's hero or freedom fighter. Terrorism can be traced back to the 1800s during the Napoleonic Wars when there was a major crackdown on power; culminates in the 1900s when theories such as globalization began to be prominent. During this period the First World War also broke out and conflicts broke out when states wanted to gain their independence and self-determination. From the 1970s to the present and into the future, terrorism theory has been encouraged by improvements in information technology, globalization, and systematic U.S. leadership, patrol-client ties. Globalization, making the world borderless, has made it difficult to combat this phenomenon and the most advanced technologies have reduced the distance between states. Definition of Terrorism The word "terrorism" is used frequently and universally, but in all its uses it does not refer to the same thing due to its meaning. it's getting too high... middle of paper... respecting their freedoms would also help us have a more conflict-free world. Since everyone is concerned about stopping terrorism, it is best to do so by not participating in it. Bibliography Combs C, C., 1997. Terrorism in the twenty-first century.
