Going to sleep in life is very important because it allows us to heal our body physically and emotionally. The scientist does not have an exact reason for sleeping because sleep is a very vague area of research. Like many other theories developed by scientists, there are many theories about sleep. As humans, we need a certain number of hours to fully rest and without this complete rest the consequences can be fatal. Do you know why we sleep? According to scientific theories, we sleep for various reasons. I will name four. The first reason is our proper rest. During the day we carry out activities that require energy from our body. We are so tired at night because our body tries to recover its energy. The second reason is to heal. At some point in our lives we hurt ourselves and the doctor needs to rest a lot. The doctor requires it because sleep restores the immune and nervous system, but also the muscles and bones. The third reason is to work better. Sleep helps the human brain regulate itself. Sometimes, when we are so busy with worries and the accumulation of things in our brain, when we sleep our brain allows us to rest and neglect unnecessary information. The fourth reason is that we sleep to dream. Everyone dreams every night they go to sleep, some just don't remember it. Dreaming occurs when you are in a state of unconsciousness. These dreams are expressions of thoughts and experiences we have while awake. If you are in deep sleep, you may dream while awake. The total hours of sleep a person needs depends on the individual's age. Babies sleep more than anyone else. They sleep up to sixteen hours a day. They sleep so much because they go through different sleep stages which… middle of paper… a necessity that helps us operate the way we do. Sleep allows us to be happy and behave the way we do. There are many ways in which sleep is beneficial to humans around the world, and it can even be fatal to those who don't get the right amount of sleep they need to function.
