3. INTRODUCTIONIt is said that fresh water will be the first natural resource to be depleted due to its pollution which is increasingly increasing, threatening ecosystem health and causing various nutrition and health problems on a global scale, especially in semi-arid regions, such as North Africa and the Middle East. Water scarcity can limit social and economic development especially in the regions mentioned above. Thinking about this, it is necessary to create new alternative methods for sustainable use of water such as rainwater recycling.4. WHAT IS RAINWATER RECYCLINGRainwater recycling, also known as rainwater harvesting, collects rain that falls on roofs and then stores it in a tank until used. When required, the water is then pumped to the point of use or into a secondary tank which distributes rainwater throughout the facility, avoiding the need for mains water. In this process, a volume of water is kept out of the stormwater management system, to help reduce flood risks. Rainwater harvesting is not a new concept; but, over the last century, its use has been limited, with the availability of a clean and economical source of water through the water network. Recently, localized flooding began to become a problem as demand for water began to exceed supply. Industry experts are now identifying the important role that rainwater harvesting, also known as gray water recycling, must play in improving these two problems.5. HOW DOES IT WORK? - OVERVIEW OF RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEMS Rainwater is captured from the roof(s) and brought to a central point, through gutters and standard displacement pipes, to enter a storage tank... at the center of the card ... groups to provide clean, good quality water. In Beijing, the main water distribution system is supplemented by rainwater collected from homes. When it comes to Africa, in some countries like Guinea-Bissau and Senegal, houses have a rainwater collection system made from local organic materials. In Zimbabwe, where the majority of the population has access to water through contaminated open wells, the government is implementing a program to ensure safe drinking water for rural schools through the installation of rooftop rainwater harvesting systems.9. CONCLUSION Analyzing the research and studies for the construction of this report, it can be concluded that rainwater recycling is a sustainable way of using water and its use has been increasingly assimilated by companies, buildings and people interested in smart ways to reuse, recycle and save water.
