JK Rowling, Joanne Kathleen Rowling an English writer born in July 1965 at Yate General Hospital in England (Rowling). Mrs Rowling grew up in Chepstow, Gwent, where she attended a school called Wyedan Comprehensive (Rowling). Joanne left her hometown of Chepstow for Exeter University, where she completed a degree in French and classics, including a year in Paris (Rowling). After graduating she moved to London and worked, among other jobs, as a researcher at Amnesty International (Rowling). Joanne moved to northern Portugal, where she taught English as a foreign language (Rowling). In October 1992 Jo married and in 1993 gave birth to a daughter Jessica (Rowling). Not long after the birth of his daughter Jessica, his marriage ended (Rowling). After her marriage ended, Jo returned to the UK to live in Edinburgh, where Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Rowling) was eventually completed. Jo married for the second time to a man named Dr. Neil Murray in 2001 (Rowling). In 2003, a brother of Jessica named David was born, two years later, in 2005, a third child named Mackenzie (Rowling) was born. Joanne began writing the Harry Potter series during a late train journey from Manchester to London King's Cross, and over the next five years she outlined her first book in the series and then began writing (Rowling). After the first five books written by JK Rowling, the sixth book in the Harry Potter series is titled The Half-Blood Prince. This book in the series was published in the UK, US and other English-speaking countries on 16 July 2005 and achieved record sales (Rowling). JK Rowling's sixth book in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince series expertly uses imagery, characterization and motifs... middle of paper... emort and Dumbledore's great morals. The characters differ from each other but are very different in some ways. Harry, Ron and Hermione are brave and have great morals. Where Snape, Voldemort and the other Death Eaters are evil.
