Saving NemoFish may seem like an easy and fun hobby, but without the proper research and knowledge you will be killing fish rather than keeping them. Most people think that keeping fish is an easy hobby because all you have to do is buy an aquarium and put the fish in the aquarium, but they are very wrong. Fish are very difficult to care for and are also very susceptible to changes within the aquarium. Fish require constant care and a careful eye on the water conditions in the tank. If the water conditions in the tank are not set correctly, or if there is a sudden spike or change in water conditions, this could make the fish sick or even kill them. Tank setup may seem like a simple process of just filling the tank with water, but if the water is not treated properly it can be toxic to fish and kill them. Tap water is extremely toxic to fish and must be treated to remove chlorine from tap water. To treat the water you need to use a water additive, which removes chlorine, which can be purchased at a local pet store. Treating your tap water is only part of the installation process in a new tank. Once the tank is full of treated water, you need to cycle the aquarium. New aquarium cycling is the process in which the nitrogen cycle in a new aquarium is established. It is critical that a new aquarium is cycled properly to keep the fish in a non-toxic environment. The purpose of cycling a new aquarium is to establish beneficial bacteria that convert toxic elements into non-toxic elements. In order for the cycle to begin in a new tank, ammonia must be present in the tank. Ammonia comes from the food that is fed to the fish and also from fish waste. To get the ammonia into the tank, the pe...... in the center of the paper ......ank. A new aquarium should only have one or two hardy fish to start the cycling process and once cycled you can add more fish. A fish breeder should make sure to check their fish frequently for signs and symptoms of disease so they can treat them quickly if necessary. Once a fish keeper gets used to monitoring water conditions and performing regular water changes, fish keeping can be a fun hobby, but it can still be an expensive hobby.
