William Shakespeare was born in April 1564. We are not sure of the actual date of his birth, but we know that on April 26, 1564, he was baptized. Shakespeare was six or seven years old when he entered high school, and dropped out when he was only thirteen. William Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway at the age of 18 and together they had three children, all of whom died very young, leaving no heirs. In 1592 Shakespeare wrote his first play entitled Henry VI. Each plot is connected by a marriage between an Amazonian queen and the Duke of Athens. The play is set in the woods. The story begins with a conflict between a father and daughter. The father wants his daughter to marry a suitor of his choice, but the daughter loves another man and refuses his request. In the second plot, a main character must write a comedy, which is part tragedy. In the last plot, the fairy king and his wife drift apart, with the king having to punish his wife since she did not obey him. The play ends with the characters realizing that it all may have just been a dream.
