William Shakespeare was born in April 1564. We are not sure of the actual date of his birth, but we know that on April 26, 1564, he was baptized. Shakespeare was six or seven years old when he entered high school, and dropped out when he was only thirteen. William Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway at the age of 18 and together they had three children, all of whom died very young, leaving no heirs. In 1592 Shakespeare wrote his first play entitled Henry VI.
