Many teenagers don't know what they want to do when they grow up, but high school is a great time to figure out what we want to do. Even though teenagers say they have time and have four years to figure it out, it goes by quickly. When I was in high school I learned that my school year went by quickly and I discovered what I would like. Having your own business is very difficult, but it can be done with patience and time. According to the person I interviewed, Jerry, owner of Auto Acces, said, “It's hard to open a business on my own, it was nice to have someone to help me.” Jerry Spears owns his own automotive business and several other businesses around Portage and other cities. He has put a lot of effort into each business he owns. Jerry said he has worked in the automotive industry for thirty years, on and off. The one he owns now was passed down through his family, so he didn't open this particular car business, but it's still very difficult to run. The reason he took over this business was because it was in the family. Mr. Spears didn't go to college to run the business he owns, he went to college for his generals. The only information he needed to know about owning a car company was financing, market information, and the risk of anything that might happen. To run the business he needed an automotive detailer, a mechanic, a salesman, a general manager and an accountant. Jerry said there is nothing easy or difficult about having a business, but that he loves the work and makes a living from it. Even though Jerry said he didn't go to school to start a business, it's still a good idea to go. at school.
