Topic > Hitler and the Nazi Education System - 1133

In 1920, the Germans developed a political party called the Nazi Party. The party emerged from German nationalists and racists. In 1921, when Hitler became chancellor, he supported this party and became somewhat of its leader. They segregated anyone who was different; for example, Jews, homosexuals, disabled people, and anyone who opposed their political party. As the years passed, the hatred seemed to grow and the situation worsened, leading to the holocaust. During this time, Hitler and the Nazi Party controlled everything, including the education system. Before all this began, the German education system accepted Jews in public schools. Once Hitler became Chancellor, he changed German society, the impact of Nazism, and the role of nationalism through education. In the most convenient definition, education is the process by which one imparts general knowledge, develops reasoning skills, and prepares one intellectually for life. The Nazis took a more complex toll on the education system, using it to their advantage by practicing the use of propaganda. and allowing it to become an important tool for spreading the Nazis' racial policies. This education system required a lot of attention and effort on the part of Hitler and the Nazi Party. They focused on German youth because Hitler believed that children had power and set the goal of creating only pure Aryan men so that they would not be defeated in the next great European war. They changed the way people learned at school and developed youth groups such as the Hitler Youth. These changes greatly influenced the lifestyle of the Germans. The success of these youth movements was aided by indoctrination. Hitler believed that all these changes would influence people to support him. It seems that... middle of paper... Youth grows rapidly. Hitler's vision of the “thousand-year Reich” led him to try to gain the support of young people. The Thousand Year Reich was the German Empire. Hitler wanted it to last 1,000 years, but it turned out to be much shorter. I'm glad it ended sooner rather than later. HItler was a ruthless leader. How many more Jews would have been killed by the Nazis. Once the Nuremberg Laws were passed in 1935, Jewish children could no longer attend schools. The Nuremberg Laws stripped Jews of German citizenship and prohibited sexual relations and marriages between Germans and Jews. Taking away someone's citizenship means they are somehow an illegal resident in the country, so Hitler has the power to not allow Jewish children to go to school. These laws were not just for Jews; it was extended to blacks, gypsies and everything else different.
