Abortion in the United States The United States government should illegalize abortion for many different reasons, including the fact that a potential life is ended before it was given the opportunity, remains a enough evidence for most people to understand why a person should never have the opportunity to choose whether a child lives or dies. Studies also show that mothers who choose abortion have a higher health risk rate after abortion and also have more psychological problems after abortion. Not only are abortions proven to cause pain to the mother of the child, but fetuses can also experience pain during the abortion procedure. Another big reason why most people believe that abortions are not right is because in the Bible it states that a child becomes a life after conception. One of the biggest problems, however, is that most people believe that the Founding Fathers did not approve of abortion because they stated that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, which include they are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness (Should Abortion be legal?, 2013). only in the United States (Loxafamosity Ministries 2014). However, this number is down from the 1.21 million abortions estimated in 2008 (Loxafamosity Ministries 2014). From 1973 to 2011, almost fifty-three million abortions occurred in the United States and this number is not the same. including all the black market abortions that occur daily (Loxafamosity Ministries, 2014).
