Do you like playing sports? I play three of the five sports I'm researching (baseball, basketball and football), they are all dangerous. Believe it or not, some of your favorite sports might be some of the most dangerous. Wrestling is a very disciplined sport. Athletes who practice this sport need to be in the best shape possible. Strength and endurance are an important part of wrestling and that's why it's important to stay in good shape. The most common injuries that occur are sprains, dislocations, fractured fingers, skin infections, concussions, and pulled muscles. Having back-to-back games on consecutive days is very risky because your body may not have recovered from the previous day's games yet. Avoiding severe positions could keep you at a lower risk. Some skin infections can become contagious if not treated properly. Football is the number one sport that causes catastrophic injuries at all age levels, such as little league, college and the NFL. The most common injuries caused in football are musculoskeletal injuries (ligaments, bones, muscles and tendons). This sport causes the most head injuries of all (helmet-to-helmet hits and ground tackles). Studies say that 60% of sudden deaths during sports occur in football. One of the high school level because if you have already suffered from brain trauma, the risk of receiving it again is greater. Due to the concerns, football enrollments dropped by nearly 10%.
