Taiwan, a country surrounded by the sea, a small island located in the tropical zone that brings hundreds and thousands of various species of fish to Taiwan and makes Taiwan become a fruitful country. With these rich resources, Taiwan becomes a country full of countless delicious dishes. "Taiwanese snacks" is the general name of the food that represents the street life and culture of Taiwan. Using what we have is one of the characteristics of Taiwanese food. For example, the western part of Taiwan is a rice and wheat producing plain, so in Tainan they have a famous local food called “dandan noodles”; the eastern part of Taiwan is made up of mountains where people hunted to survive, so in Pingtung they have a delicious local food called "wangluan trotter". The night market, a typical symbol of Taiwanese food, is a place existing everywhere in Taiwan that sells all kinds of Taiwanese food. As it is called, the night market is only open at night from around 6pm until midnight or later. Furthermore, the night market is not just a place to buy food or dessert, but it is a place to have fun and a perfect excuse to go out with friends when I was young. There are foods like pork rice, beef noodle, steak, tian bu la, ba wan, fried chicken, stinky tofu...etc. Drinks like bubble tea, papaya milk, watermelon juice, milk tea...etc. games like pinball, ring toss, lotteries, dice rolling and bumper cars...etc. There is another typical symbol of Taiwanese food, the convenience store. Not like American culture where people tend to buy everything they need at once, but convenience stores are everywhere in Taiwan. People normally put it as an ingredient in drinks like tea or even in the mountain of crushed ice. Also, it could be made into a hot drink with some peanuts which can effectively warm your body. With some peanuts sprinkled inside the drink, its smell and taste will give you a dramatically different feel and taste. - Douhua -A gelatinous desert formed with soy milk that is even softer than soft tofu. Douhua is usually added with brown sugar or brown sugar. In the summer, we usually eat tofu after it has cooled, while in the winter we top it with hot sugar.
