Around the world, many people are sad and depressed and simply don't feel the need to do anything other than sulk and wish they were dead, this is not the way that someone should live in, there should be a way to get someone out of this depressive state or to stop someone from reaching it, but what? The answer lies in organized sports and their ability to stimulate hormones in the body and allow for a new sense of happiness in the body. To find out what level a level of depression is at and see if it affects all participants with different levels of depression or only participants with low levels of depression, we will examine it using the Beck Depression Scale. This is important because it will help create a new way to keep many people away from depression because we know that the use of physical activity is necessary to keep depression rates in people at a very low minimum. Purpose of the Study ProjectThe purpose of my study is to find out whether practicing sports helps reduce levels of depression in university students. I hope to find out if there is a relationship between playing a sport and controlled levels of depression in college students, so that depression can be controlled and monitored differently. This will lead to the need for necessary physical activity throughout the school years in all schools in hopes of keeping depression to a minimum, regardless of age or demographics. People should care about this topic because I will keep the harmless way of taking life at an extremely low level because no one is experiencing depression like before because they were active in sports to keep depression levels low and eventually they will know how to control depression and keep it... middle of paper... many schools have thought about eliminating physical education in school and instead try to increase it and make sure it is in every school so that children do not suffer from depression in their lives and are instead happier. Conclusion I want to run this study to try to find that I have found a way to reduce levels of depression in individuals and I chose to look at athletes due to the fact that they are rarely thought to be depressed because of what they do and I wanted to see if there is a relationship between the two.
